Team Philippines at Homeless World Cup

Another football post!


The 2010 Homeless World Cup commercial.




Representing the Philippines are twins Hammid and Abdula Pasion (Laguna), brothers Mark and Lexter Maravilla (Quezon), best friends Michael Quinlat and Toniemark Arinal (Talisay City), Revect Lagarto (Manila), and Leopoldo Aragon (Bacolod), together with coaches, Ronald Patulin and Elmer Bedia.

Team Philippines bagged the Host Cup trophy after beating the Team Norway in a grueling 4-3 physical match. The Host Cup is a play off among teams ranked 25 - 32 after the Secondary stage. So that puts Team Philippines on the 25th spot of all nations! A progression from the last year's Cup, which the team landed on the 29th position.

Team Brazil won the 2010 Homeless World Cup trophy after beating Team Chile! Brazil!

The 9th Homeless World Cup will be in Champs de Mars, Paris, France. Before that see Team Philippines as they celebrate their victory for the recently concluded 2010 Homeless World Cup:
